About
Our philosophy is to form a balance between organic farming and the natural ecosystems native to our area. We believe strongly that in order to grow the best foods, only the most natural methods of farming will work. All of our foods are planted, weeded, and harvested by hand. We use as little equipment as possible. It is important to us to peacefully coexist with nature. That is a part of being organic. We do not want to spray things that could be toxic to any form of life. We respect and value the many forms of life on our farm.
We also believe that food should always be fresh. Fresh food tastes better. All of our foods are delivered within a few hours of harvest. We do not store food. We work very hard to ensure you get the freshest local organic foods possible. We also feel that it is important to buy local foods. Not only will the food taste better, but you help cut down on pollution caused by refrigeration and transportation of food. 100 years ago, everyone knew who grew their food and exactly where it came from. We need to get back to knowing our food.
We grow a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. We add new varieties every year. We love growing everything we can get seeds for. For a complete list of what is growing at the farm this year, just ask. If there is something you would like us to grow, let us know! We will try our best!
