FOOD REVOLUTION

Free your food! Did you know there are children in America who think milk comes from the grocery store? Most people don’t know where their food was grown, or how far it travelled to get to them. Joining a CSA allows you to know your food - where it came from and who grows it - just as people have done for centuries, the way it was meant to be.

CSA

We’re no longer accepting new CSA orders for 2008. We have had an unprecedented number of people join the CSA this year and can no longer accept anyone else into the program. We’re excited by all the interest, and hope you’ll think of us next spring.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It means that you can have a direct link with the farm and the people who grow your food. For a flat rate, the farmer offers you a weekly box of fresh produce. The boxes contain the produce that is fresh at that time. You get the peace of mind that comes with knowing exactly where your food comes from and who grows it.  You get to see your food being grown, and best of all, you get to know the farmers.

There are local pick-up sites, including the farm, at which you can get your box of food. The more people we have sign up from a specific community, the more likely that area will have its own pick-up site. The weekly boxes of food are commonly referred to as shares because you are directly investing in a local business.

We are proud to offer our CSA program. A share, in general, is a large box of produce and herbs that can feed up to 4 or 5 people. It does depend on how many fruits and or veggies you eat regularly! We always try to provide a good variety of everything we grow. We also try to provide recipes for our customers. Our CSA will run from late May through mid October in general. We contact everyone when the crops are getting close to first harvest.
You can purchase a share by contacting the farm and paying us directly, or you may pay via PayPal. if you’re paying with PayPal, you also have the option of paying in six monthly installments.

It is that time of year again! Time to think seriously about all the yummy organic produce you will eat this year. We are offering our CSA program again for 2008. The price is the same. We are planning on many wonderful items for this year. You can sign up any time from now until late spring, but we encourage you to at least contact us soon to reserve your share. Our feedback from last year was wonderful and we thank everyone who was involved. We are still figuring out the drop off/ pick up sites, so if you want one near you, encourage your friends and neighbors to join too! We will still offer the pick up sites of the farm itself, and farmer’s market in Yellow Springs. Please email or call us with any questions. We hope to see you soon!
